Our Leader  This group was founded by Richard S. Givens, a University of Kansas faculty member. It is an international group of dedicated scientists who have special interest and love for excited state chemistry. .Rich is the one driving that little red Datsun 1600 all over Lawrence, the one with the arcane license plate hnuprof. His research interests included photochemistry, physical organic chemistry, phototrigger and photostitch. He is alleged to have infected this group of students with the desire and love of the chemistry of excited states.
